Basketball Wives Reunion – Part II

Well, well, well. I was right. Jennifer failed her lie-detector test. She is jealous of Evelyn’s and Chad’s relationship.

I knew that Evelyn would say she didn’t miss Jennifer – and that it would not be true. Evelyn has a good heart. It’s nice they’ve made up. Seriously.

Kenya isn’t interesting. Her videos are weird and she needs to be off the show. The wet & wavy weave should have been a deal-breaker. “Kenya knows not to dance in the videos,” John Salley said. That was funny!

I’m glad Kesha finally stood up for herself.  She needed to address Tami.

Looking forward to season five!

First I have some questions: What in the world is Royce wearing on her feet? Why can’t Kenya get a good weave going? Why is Jennifer acting like she’s so much better than everyone else?

I must say I haven’t watched the show until this fourth season – so I’m sort of new to this, although I have watched a few reruns.

Now, about this reunion… The first thing I noticed is that Kesha, although she ran, had a lot of mouth with Kenya, but wouldn’t stand up to Tami. I felt sorry for Kesha when Tami went off on her. That was weak. But Tami should have never questioned Kesha’s ethnicity. She is what she says she is – black is black, mixed or not. Tami doesn’t realize that Kesha can talk about how she feels to whomever she wants. The way she came off – “Are you white?” – who would want to talk to her?

Tami has been working on her anger management since The Real World. I love Tami, but she is a bully, she needs to own it and stop before she scares the wrong person. If you’re going to be her friend, you need to accept her attitude and keep it real with her. She’s obviously very sensitive about that, but that shouldn’t be a problem for any real friend. By the way, Kenya’s wig was enough to make someone want to punish her.

Kenya…were you in Thriller?

Jennifer is obviously jealous of Evelyn and shouldn’t have blogged about her. I agree with Evelyn that it was disrespectful. Also, I notice that every chance Jennifer gets, she mentions her divorce and Eric, as if she is reaching out to him. She clearly said she needs someone to take care of her. She should be off the show.

Now, Nia is funny! Did she have a Samuel L. Jackson moment? “You wish I [bleep]…Jennifer come on…” before she went around the table to slap Jennifer – that was funny. Classic Samual L., Nia. Love it! I just wish she hadn’t given Jennifer the satisfaction.

Jennifer comes out, still putting on her act, trying to sound sophisticated and cussing at the same time. She needs to make her mind up about how she wants to be portrayed. She’s sitting back there talking crap about everyone being out there talking crap. Why isn’t she out there with the rest of the group? Grow up Jennifer! Yeah, filing a complaing against Nia, you’re “handling it in a different manner” than with Eric. OK. Evelyn, Jennifer surely doesn’t have me fooled. She can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

Now, on reunion fashion: Evelyn looked great; her hair and jewelry were amazing. Suzie looks very pretty with light hair. Tami’s dress is very hard on the eyes and not flattering in the hip area – looks like an arts and crafts project; her necklace looks like Baphomet whether she knows it or not. Her hair looks nice though. Jennifer looks a red hot mess, but the jewelry is nice. Shaunie looks nice – for a business meeting in Miami. Kenya looks like she is wearing clothes from Rainbow, and her hair looks like it was done by the little girl down the block who “does sew-ins.” Royce, those shoes are just too big for her body and Kenya picked up that dress for her while she was shopping at Rainbow.

The only advice I would give Shaunie is: get a more authoritative attitude. It’s nice that you’re going to try and send a better message in the future. I wish you all the blessings, and we can all use work, so don’t be so hard on yourself.
